About Us

The Entrepreneurship Center (TEC) East Africa Limited is an entrepreneurship Value Innovation and Incubation center. Our goal is to create REAL, TANGIBLE and SUSTAINABLE entrepreneurial potential transformation of young people into equipped entrepreneurs, that generate and nurture scalable enterprises. We offer a modular entrepreneur and enterprise development programme that seek to produce equipped entrepreneurs and fully systemized scalable enterprises. We take care of both the entrepreneur and the enterprise.

TEC is a practical Entrepreneurship E.A targeting predominantly young apprentices in the age bracket between eighteen and forty (18 – 40) years. Our primary target group are male and female high school leavers with or without certificate, diploma or degree qualifications

These are divided in two categories:

“Greenhorns” – composed of apprentices without prior entrepreneurship experience.
Founders – those who have taken steps to set up some startup business without following the startup development process.

Greenhorns (category A) are taught in a separate stream from founders (Category B) primarily due to their differences in availability. To ensure quality and good trainer to student interaction we have maintained apprentice class sizes to twelve (12) for each category.

The Programme

The four-module program is primarily designed to guide the apprentice from business idea generation to owning a fully systemized, sustainable and scalable enterprise.

The entrepreneurship potential development journey at TEC begins with entrepreneurial assessments which enable the the apprentice to determine their entrepreneurial traits, temperaments and readiness.

These apprentices subsequently go through ideation stage where they generate business ideas and develop business concepts and models. When these business concepts have been validated and meet all aspects of the Minimum Value Proposition (MVP) to a defined client segment, they progress into new Startup implementation.

The new entrepreneur then goes through a startup development module where we impart skills necessary for growing the Startup as well as link them up to our seed capital partners.

The new enterprises that have undergone Startup development progress to the business development phase where we assist the entrepreneurs with investor relation and pitching skills for procuring growth finance and partners. Our apprentices are also exposed to big picture issues of business strategy management and business transitions.

In our final module all the apprentices undergo a one-year business coaching and mentorship programme as well as access technical support for scaling the business from our partners.
